MEET STÉPHANE

My story began with windsurfing, but it has never stopped evolving.

When wingfoil started developing in Tarifa a few years ago, I knew I was witnessing the birth of an extraordinary sport. From the very first moment I was captivated by the feeling of freedom it offered, and I decided to dedicate many hours to practicing it, understanding its technique, and discovering the best way to teach it.

At Wind & Water Experience we’ve now spent four seasons training students in wingfoil. During this time we’ve accompanied hundreds of people through their first flights, continuously refining our teaching methodology.

Although wingfoil is a relatively young sport, our teaching approach is built on more than 30 years of experience in instruction.

Pedagogy, safety, step-by-step progression, and the ability to adapt each session to the person are principles we’ve been applying for decades.

That experience has been the foundation for developing a methodology specific to wingfoil, adapted to the demands of this sport.

Today we keep learning and evolving every season, both as riders and as instructors, because we believe a good teacher never stops training.

Our goal remains the same as it was more than 30 years ago: to help you progress safely, confidently, and enjoying every minute on the water.

With over 30 years teaching wind sports and four seasons specializing in wingfoil in Tarifa, at Wind & Water Experience we’ve accompanied hundreds of students through their first flights.

Our method combines safety, progression, and a pedagogy adapted to each person.

Since every student, every day, and every session is different, we don’t follow rigid programs: we adapt each class to your level, the wind, and your goals so you progress quickly, safely, and enjoyably.

Understand

Before thinking about flying, you need to understand how the wind, the wing, and the foil work together. When you understand what’s happening beneath your feet and above your head, learning becomes much more natural.

Build a solid foundation

We don’t aim for you to fly as soon as possible. We aim for every step to be properly learned. A solid foundation builds confidence, improves equipment control, and speeds up progression in later stages.

Progress step by step

Each exercise has a specific goal. First you’ll learn to control the wing. Then to sail with stability. Later come the first flights. And, little by little, you’ll fly with greater control and confidence.

Correct

We continuously watch your sailing to make small corrections at the right moment. Posture, wing handling, balance, and foil control make a huge difference in learning speed. Our goal isn’t to make you practice more. It’s to help you practice better.

Fly with confidence

Our biggest success isn’t flying a few meters during one class. It’s developing the technique, safety, and confidence needed to keep progressing independently and enjoy wingfoil for many years.

Do I need prior experience?

No, all programs are designed for beginners.

Can kids take part?

Yes, from around 10 years old, depending on conditions.

What happens if there's no wind?

We adjust the schedule or offer the best possible alternative.

How long does each session last?

2h for private activities and 3h for semi-private ones. Semi-private sessions run 3 hours because equipment is shared between the two students with dynamic rotations.

Can I keep practicing after the course?

Yes, depending on level, conditions, and equipment availability.
