BEGINNER

1 DAY

This is the essential basic wingfoil course if you’re a beginner or need to refresh your knowledge.

After about 15 minutes of theory and a warm-up, you will become familiar with the wing. You will then enter the water and make your first “rides”, not far from the shore, with the assistance of an experienced instructor.

BASIC

3 DAYS

This wingfoil course allows a gradual progression, supervised at all times by an instructor with a long experience in sports teaching and sailing.

You will practice with a large wingfoil board of about 140 litres equipped with a large foil (2000), which will facilitate the take-off of the board and the flight over the water.

Wingfoil Initiation Course

FROM 1 DAY

This is the essential basic class if you are just starting out in wingfoiling or need to refresh your knowledge. We conduct our Wingfoil classes in Tarifa, the mecca of wind sports. Begin in the sea or lagoon with an experienced instructor and the finest equipment.

WINGFOIL BASIC COURSE

We will teach you the basics of wingfoil so that, from the very beginning, you have the correct technique to navigate.

This course allows for a gradual progression, supervised at all times by a coach with extensive experience in sports education and navigation.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN DURING YOUR WINGFOIL LESSONS?

Basic safety concepts to prevent injuries.

We will explain how to adopt the most efficient sailing positions, allowing you to glide with less effort. We’ll also cover the safest way to fall into the water, and emphasize the importance of maintaining a certain distance from other sea and beach users for safety reasons.

Basic notions about wind, currents, and tides.

We will explain in a simple way the local conditions of your sailing spot, so you can have the safest possible navigation plan before going into the water.

In Tarifa, there are usually two main types of winds: the Levante and the Poniente.

The Strait of Gibraltar is subject to more or less strong currents depending on the tide point and the coefficient, and the Atlantic part of the Tarifa coast is exposed to the waves created by Atlantic storms, especially in winter.

All these parameters are things you should consider when going out to sail.

Understanding the equipment to use (board, wing, wetsuit, etc.) according to your level and weather conditions is essential.

The choice of your wing foil equipment is crucial before sailing.

Each day of sailing is different because we practice in a varied environment with variable conditions.

There are a multitude of boards, wings, wetsuits, etc.,

Therefore, we will explain how to choose your equipment before going into the water, so that you sail safely and enjoyably.

Preparation, Transport, and Care of Equipment.

We will explain how to prepare your equipment: inflate the wing, assemble the foil.

We will assist you in transporting your equipment to the beach in the proper and safe manner.

After the session, we will show you how to rinse it with water, disassemble it, and store it, so you can enjoy it for a long time.

Using the correct technique to lift the wing and sail.

It all starts with this phase, and it’s important that it’s done correctly from the beginning to avoid injuries.

How to handle the rigging to trim/release, and change direction.

We will teach you how to easily gain speed to glide over the water, brake, and change directions when you want or need to, using simple movements with your wing.

Basic upwind (tack) and downwind (jibe) turns.

When you start sailing and move away from the shore, you must not forget that you have to return to land.

For this, it will be necessary to know how to perform a basic 180-degree turn, called ‘tack’ or ‘jibe,’ depending on whether you are approaching or moving away from the wind.
